Fire Emblem Warriors is honestly a very disappointing game and there are so many other games to get at that price. If you are looking for a good hack and slash game then I recommend Nier Automata. Fire Emblem Warriors really has a lot of problems and it’s near impossible for me to recommend this game to anyone in my opinion. Graphically the game doesn’t look good at all. I was very disappointed with the graphics in this game. This is the first Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch so I was definitely expecting a lot more graphically. The character models are downright terrible and the environment is a complete disappointment. This game overall lacks polish.
Content-wise this game doesn’t have much going for it. Once you beat the game there isn’t a lot to do. The story isn’t long at all but then again it’s not like the story is a masterpiece or “short and sweet”. The story is actually abysmal even for a Musou game. If you are buying this game for a plot or expecting an excellent story then please stop reading this review and look for a different game. There is nothing special about the story in Fire Emblem Warriors and it was actually painful to go through.
Fire Emblem Warriors is a pretty easy game. You should be able to get through the game even if you play on hard mode. The truth is Fire Emblem Warriors just isn’t “fun” at all in my opinion. The gameplay has absolutely no depth to it. It’s mindless and it’s boring and it’s just overall lackluster and poorly fleshed out. The gameplay just isn’t good in this game and it’s extremely repetitive. The story is poor, the content is poor and the gameplay is very mediocre but then there is the roster. Disappointing.
Fire Emblem Warriors launched with about 25 characters. Fire Emblem Warriors shouldn’t be called “Fire Emblem Warriors” it should be called “Fire Emblem Fates & Awakening Warriors with friends”. Almost all the characters in this roster are from Fates and Awakenings with 8 being the other Fire Emblem games. The roster doesn’t even include fan favorites like Roy and Ike.
Overall this game is pretty terrible and is by far the weakest Fire Emblem game to date. Not recommended.
A complete disappointment. Fire Emblem Warriors is by far the weakest Fire Emblem game to date
