Fate/ Extella: The Umbral Star is far from a bad game. There are a lot of enjoyable moments in this game and I’ve enjoyed playing this game. That being said, this game has some major flaws. Graphically, this game isn’t the best in my opinion. The level design isn’t great either. Most of the levels had very bland, average designs and they could have been better in my opinion. Most of the level designs aren’t eye catching. Most of the enemies had mediocre and bland designs. That being said the characters in this game has great designs. Every single character in this game has interesting eye catching designs.
The music in Fate/ Extella: The Umbral Star is great. I liked every track in this game and if you’re looking for a game with good music I recommend you check out this game. The Free Battle mode can be quite enjoyable and Side Story can be interesting. The main story isn’t very long, but this game does have a good amount of content. The Free Battle mode, Side Story mode, and the Main Story mode offer a good amount of content to the players.
Japanese subs are good but the lack of an English option can be a bit disappointing to some. Personally, I’m fine with Japanese subs.
I personally liked the Gallery mode because I could listen to the great music from this game in this mode.
The plot in this game isn’t great, to be honest. The story was very bland and overall wasn’t well written. The plot could have been much better and to be completely honest the gameplay made the plot less enjoyable. The gameplay in this game isn’t good. Sure it’s fun, for a while, but after a couple of hours, it gets extremely repetitive and tiring. In Fate/ Extella the umbral star you can use both light and heavy attacks and you can go into combos. You can also block and dodge.
Like I said earlier Fate/ Extella isn’t a bad game at all. It’s a decent game and if you like games like Hyrule Warriors or One Piece Pirate Warriors then you’ll enjoy this game. Overall a decent game recommended to fans of the genre.
Fate/ Extella: The Umbral Star is a decent game. That being said the story could have been better and the gameplay is very repetitive.
