This game is a 2-D fighting game. The graphics aren’t mind blowing. To be honest, I would have liked if they changed the graphics in this game. It would have been nice if this game looked like Guilty Gear XRD Sign. Imagine BlazBlue with those graphics. That being said I still really like the 2-D sprites and the graphics don’t change the amount of fun I had in this with this game.
There are also many new stages to choose from in this game. The music in this game is excellent. I liked the opening theme and I liked every single track in this game. The game has balancing issues, but overall the game is still quite fun.
The game also has an arcade mode. I enjoyed the arcade mode in the game. The game also has over 30 characters. That being said I don’t think they added enough new characters for the price tag. Chrono Phantasma Extend only came out last year. They really could have added more characters also the lack of English dub in this game is unacceptable.
Don’t get me wrong the game is fun, but the story mode is a disaster in my opinion. Of course, they’re, subtitles but it would have been so much better if the game was in English. Guilty Gear XRD Sign Revelator also suffered from the lack of English Dub and to be honest, if they delayed the English version they would have been able to add English Dubs easily. It’s not like the English Dub in BlazBlue is atrocious. The English Dub is actually very good. All of the BlazBlue games have been in English so the lack of English Dub in this game is a massive con. Network mode also hasn’t changed much.
Overall I liked Blazblue Central Fiction but it could have been a bit better. More characters should have been added and English Dub should have been added as well. It’s a fun game but it’s not worth $60. You should wait for a price drop.
BlazBlue Central Fiction is a good game but there are better fighting games out there.
